Since 2009, Lex Nordlinger has been an active and enthusiastic participant of the Greenville music scene. Graduate of the renowned Fine Arts Center music program, he now studies percussion under influential world percussionist Dr. Barry Michael Williams (Chicago Symphony) at Winthrop University on the university's highest music scholarship. Not only has he consistently earned many outstanding musicianship awards during his time at Winthrop University, he was also the recipient of the nationally competitive Ed Shaughnessy/Sid Catlett Scholarship to attend PASIC 2013.

His jazz collective, known as The Nordlingers, offers a fresh take on jazz. You can expect to hear your favorite jazz standards, as well as some pop songs, reinvented in new and exciting ways. This band is influenced by artists such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Clifford Brown, The Bad Plus, Charles Mingus, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Badbadnotgood, John Scofield, Brad Mehldau, and Joshua Redman.
